Michelle's Party Plan-It: DIY Carrot Treat Bags

DIY Carrot Treat Bags

You probably have seen those adorable cone shaped treat bags filled with treats to look like carrots.  I noticed some the other day filled with orange cotton candy and thought they would be perfect for our upcoming Easter party. You can purchase the cone bags at almost any craft store or even use the icing bags.  This tutorial will show you how to make them with a bag you probably already have in your party arsenal.

If you are like me, you most likely have left over party supplies from parties gone by.
You will need:
Green Streamer or crepe paper
Green ribbon of your choice
Orange treats
(Cheetos, cheese balls and Cheez-its work great with bigger bags or even baby carrots for your child's lunch)
Tape
Scissors
Clear rectangle treat bag

Step 1:
Fold the bottom corner of bag up like shown below

Step 2:
Fold the top corner of bag down like shown to make a cone shape.

Step 3:
Tape and cut bag

Step 4:
Open bag and fill with treats (be sure to fill the original bag not the part you folded)

Step 5:
Trim a piece of streamer to desired length and fringe to make the carrot top

Step 6:
Stuff the streamer into the top of the bag and tie off bag with ribbon

And there you have it! A quick and easy Carrot shaped treat for your Easter table.

As you can see I am not a photographer, but you get the idea. :)

Thanks for visiting!
